STUNNING views of Portsmouth and the wider region are on offer to whoever snaps up one of these plush apartments.
Outline planning permission has been approved on plans to build a stunning Art Deco-style complex holding five apartments on the Crow’s Nest site on Portsdown Hill.
The building, designed by Waterlooville-based private property architect Mick Morris, features four two-bedroom apartments on the ground and first floors, and a three-bedroom penthouse with terraces.
Estate agents Town and Country are looking for developers to build the site.
Mr Morris said; ‘We have one of the best planning departments here in Portsmouth.
‘We are fortunate to have a local planning department that’s interested in engaging with dialogues with architects and property developers for the good of the city.
‘You can look down and see the city which is amazing and to top it all off you can see these radar installations.
‘You can enjoy one of the most beautiful views in England. It’s similar to the view of San Francisco Bay in Berkeley, California.

Colin Shairp, director of Town and Country, said the penthouse could fetch up to £800,000 on the market.
He said: ‘The five apartments will be amazing because it’s got views at the front and the back.
‘You have to ask if there are any apartments on Portsdown Hill and there are none, which makes it unique.’
However Christopher Smeed, director of Chapplins estate agents in Waterlooville, believes they could go for between £300,000 and £350,000.
He said: ‘There are lots of factors that come into it.
‘You have got a busy road outside and the nearest place to go for a drink would be Port Solent.
‘In Gunwharf Quays you could walk to 26 bars and restaurants – it’s got something to grab people to get them in.’
