BAD weather overnight has caused flooding in Southsea.

Early this morning, at around 5.15am, Southsea Fire Station was called to the Pyramids Centre after heavy rain caused flooding in an electrical room.

Firefighters helped pump the water out of the room but the centre has had to remain closed.

Engineers are working on site to get the power restored.

Elsewhere, Canoe Lake overflowed and the streets flooded near St Helen’s Parade, in Southsea.

Portsmouth and Southsea Cricket Club’s pitch, near the Tenth Hole, has also flooded.
