Flybe plane in airport drama
Emergency services stood by as a plane made an emergency landing at Southampton Airport.< (strong>
The pilot of the Flybe flight from Chambery in France had reported that the aircraft had problems with its hydraulic steering mechanisms.
All emergency services were put on standby but the plane landed safely yesterday afternoon and towed off the runway.
It is believed around 50 passengers were on the flight. An aiport spokesman said all crew and passengers were safe.
