The Lib Deb candidate David Fuller held his Fratton seat comfortably, beating the Conservatives into a distant second place.

Cllr Fuller said: 'I am very proud to represent the people of Fratton. They have given me a chance for four years, and I will work for them.

'The Labour vote is going right down, and a lot of people have talked to me about Copnor Fire Station and the Pyramids. That is what people want to know about.'
