CELEBRATE Shrove Tuesday this week in style at a church in Portsmouth.
A Caribbean party with pancake races will be held for people of all ages at St Mary’s Church, in Fratton Road, Fratton, Portsmouth, from 7.30pm.
There will also be music and an opportunity to have a dance.
Shrove Tuesday, also called Pancake Day, is the day before Ash Wednesday, which is the beginning of Lent. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for under-18s and are available from (023) 92822 990.
