Ghost hunt chance at museum

A museum will bring the movies to life by offering scary night-time tours.

Following the blockbuster film Night at the Museum, Portsmouth Museums and Records office is opening its doors in the dead of night.

Starting with scary tours for families around the museum from 7pm, a few people will get the chance to spend an entire night inside the building on a ghost hunt. Small groups will be taken around by the night watchman to lock up various exhibits around the museum.

And an intrepid team of paranormal investigators will offer the chance to experience the museum until 2am.

David Evans from the Museums Service said: ‘The building is reputed to be haunted, so who knows what surprises are in store?’
