Gosport animal rights pair are bailed
TWO people arrested in Gosport in connection with animal rights activity have been bailed by police.
The 24-year-old man and 26-year-old woman were arrested at a house in Alver Road.
As part of the same operation a 50-year-old woman from Littlehampton in West Sussex was also taken into custody. She, too, has now been bailed.
The arrests were part of Operation Achilles, a massive police investigation into an alleged conspiracy targeting a variety of organisations and individuals, including Huntingdon Life Sciences in Cambridgeshire.
The three detainees were granted police bail until March. Last May, 30 properties across the UK and in Belgium and the Netherlands were raided as part of Operation Achilles.
