Gosport family in lit firework terror

A family had a firework pushed through their letterbox in Gosport.

Police are looking for witnesses after the incident in Mortimore Road.

The firework was put through the letterbox and went off, causing damage to the door of the property at about 9.10pm on Wednesday September 8.

PC Robert Kilgallon said: 'Information is sought regarding the identity of the person responsible for what would appear to be an unprovoked attack on a residential property - the family were home at the time of the incident.

'The irresponsible actions of the person responsible could have resulted in the endangerment of innocent persons lives and the potential of causing damage to the property, along with those of neighbouring houses.'
