Hovercraft engine delays
HOVERTRAVEL has apologised to customers after engine problems on one of its services caused delays for passengers.
The firm's Solent Express was found to have a faulty engine on Wednesday at about 4pm and so was taken out of service.
It was repaired and due to go back into service on Thursday, but another fault was detected that morning.
The craft was then taken out of service again while staff got another engine from the Isle of Wight.
The problem caused delays for all passengers on Thursday, but all did travel. The new engine has now been re-fitted into the craft and it is now back in service.
Neil Chapman, managing director, said: 'Our engineers worked extremely hard.'
