Inquest into death of farmer killed by bull

AN INQUEST is to be held today into the death of a farmer who was killed by a charging bull.

Ian Rook, 58, of Manor Farm, off North Lane, Clanfield, near Waterlooville, died when the bull turned on him in November 2010.

He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, by ambulance but died soon after arriving.

Mr Rook was chairman of the Hampshire branch of the National Farmers’ Union in the early 1990s.

The inquest is being held at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
