A MAN is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court after being charged over an assault on a pensioner.
Robert Lee De Christopher, 36, of Milton Road, Portsmouth, is accused of wounding with intent, and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, namely a knife.
A 75-year-old man received serious injuries, which are not life-threatening, after being attacked in Hollam Road, Milton, Southsea on Monday,
The charges follow an investigation by detectives from CID at Fratton Police Station in Portsmouth.
