Man's nose broken in late-night robbery
A man was left with a suspected broken nose during a robbery.
Two men demanded the victim's money and then assaulted him after he handed over his wallet.
The 28-year-old from Southsea was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, with a suspected broken nose and cuts to his face following the assault on Thursday, February 19.
The attacked happened at 2am in Granada Road, Southsea, and police say there may have been people nearby who saw something.
Detective Constable Daisy Sharma said: 'To be attacked like this is uncommon. This was a completely unprovoked attack and we're appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
'It appears that there were no people in the immediate area. However, there was an event at the nearby nightclub called The Lounge on that night, so there may have been people leaving the venue who may have heard or seen something.
'If anyone remembers seeing the men described or thinks they recognise the descriptions, I would encourage them to call me as soon as possible.'
The first man was white, aged 17 to 18, slim, around 6ft 1in tall, with brown collar length hair and stubble. He spoke with a local accent and wore a beige Nike baseball cap, a dark blue jacket, light blue jeans and white trainers.
The second was the same age, of slim build, 6ft tall, with brown, collar-length hair.
He also had a local accent and wore a navy blue baseball cap, a grey hooded Lonsdale top, dark blue Adidas tracksuit bottom and he had a plain hoop earring in his left ear lobe.
Anyone with any information should contact Detective Constable Sharma at Fratton police station on 0845 045 45 45, or call the Crimestoppers hotline, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
