A schoolboy who went missing in Southsea has been found safe and well.

Walid Abdullah, aged 13, had not been seen since left his family home in Fawcett Road at 4pm yesterday telling his mum he was going to the seafront on his pink scooter.

Police lauched a hunt, appealing for information and saying that they were concerned for his welfare.

But this afternoon Walid’s father confirmed to The News that his son had been found.

Adenas Abdullah, 37, spoke of his relief after police found his son at 1pm today.

‘I’m so happy and relieved, it had been a worrying time,’ he said.

‘I want to say a big thank you to the police and to everyone who gave their support to the family.’
