Mobile home gets stuck under railway arches

A MOBILE home got stuck in one of the arches under the railway bridge at the entrance to Fareham.

The home was being transported on the back of a large lorry, but became lodged in one of the underpasses at the viaduct on Saturday.

The incident happened at 8.27am on Quay Street, Fareham, at the junction of the A27 – near the new Tesco.

Police were called to the scene and worked to help free the lorry and mobile home.

By 8.44am the lorry had been released and continued its journey.

Traffic was blocked behind the lorry and the area quickly became congested.
