Motorcyclist hurt in crash with car in Wickham

A motorcyclist in his 20s was taken to hospital after a collision with a car this morning.

The accident happened on Winchester Road, at the junction with Tanfield Lane, Wickham, just before 7am.

Two ambulances were sent to the scene.

The man suffered a fractured leg and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham. His injuries are not believed to be serious.

The driver of the Citroen Saxo was not injured.

Police closed off the road while emergency services were on the scene. It was re-opened soon after 8am.
