MP quizzed by students on visit to Westminster

POLITICS students were given the chance to quiz their MP in Parliament.

Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage invited 27 students from Bay House School in Gomer Lane to visit the Houses of Parliament.

They were shown the workings of Westminster before having a question and answer session with their MP.

Ms Dinenage, pictured, said: ‘It was fantastic to see some familiar faces from Bay House when they came to visit.

‘These trips provide a great opportunity to see the important work that takes place here.

‘It gives them the chance to interact with their local MP in an informal setting.

‘I’ve faced some tough questions in the past from school groups and expected no less from Bay House.’

Ms Dinenage was quizzed on a range of topics during the day, including the Falkland Islands, quangos, and the Daedalus Enterprise Zone.

Well I think she's doing quite well as our MP but I can't help noticing that none of the Conservative councillors who comment on this board have risen to liverpoolboy's challenge and defended her. Rumour has it the Conservative councillors have fallen-out with their MP because they're jealous that she's more popular than they are.

Thank you Gosport View. Please reel off the list our MP has done for Gosport, and the election promises she made. From what I have read and including, her appearances and comments in Parliament,I'm afraid, I have know faith in her. She tows the party line. I in my own opinion, feel as a lot of MPs are career politicians. Got your vote thank you.
