Murder investigation costs force £350,000

POLICE have spent more than £350,000 investigating the murder of Valerie Graves in Bosham.

A freedom of information request revealed more than 250 officers had been involved in the investigation, from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, West Sussex Division, police staff from Sussex and Surrey Police, and Thames Valley Police.

Ms Graves, 55, an artist from Bracklesham Bay, was brutally murdered on December 30 last year, in a property in Smugglers Lane, Bosham, where she was house-sitting.

Despite a wealth of media coverage, two BBC Crimewatch appearances and a £350,000 investigation, the killer has not been caught.

There is still a £10,000 reward from Sussex Police for anyone who can give investigators information which will lead to the conviction of the killer.
