Museum to host this year’s CSI Portsmouth

A MUSEUM has been revealed as the new venue for this year’s CSI Portsmouth event.

The National Museum of the Royal Navy, at Portsmouth’s naval base, has been chosen as the location for the one-day event on November 2.

The popular day was launched in 2010 by Hayling Island crime writer Pauline Rowson, author of the DI Andy Horton series.

It brings together crime fiction and crime fact where top authors from around the UK face a panel of experts including members of Hampshire police.

Pauline is excited about the event being at the museum which is one of the settings for her new book, Undercurrent, published earlier this year.

She said: ‘I am thrilled that the National Museum of the Royal Navy is hosting CSI Portsmouth 2013.

‘It’s a superb location with lots of atmosphere and history.

‘There promises again to be another great line-up of crime authors and experts.’

CSI Portsmouth is part of Portsmouth BookFest which is running from October 19 to November 3.
