Nathan Wheeler's post-mortem proves 'inconclusive'
A post-mortem into a man who died after being diagnosed with indigestion has proved inconclusive.
Nathan Wheeler, 29, died in his mother's arms after leaving Gosport War Memorial Hospital on Saturday night.
As reported in The News, he had been sent to the pharmacist in Mumby Road, Gosport, for some medicine to treat indigestion but died in the back of a car before he got home to Cort Way, Fareham.
A post mortem examination has now been carried out but failed to establish a cause of death. An inquest has also been opened and adjourned to a later date.
His mum Trisha Spencer, 55, says the family have been left in the dark.
'I don't know anything at all,' she said.
'I am hoping for some answers soon.
'I know it's not going to change anything but I need to know what's what and what happened.
'I'm just completely and utterly in the dark with everything.
'I have got no answers from anybody and they are not telling me anything.'
A spokeswoman for the Portsmouth City Teaching Primary Care Trust, said: 'Our Patient Experience Service has offered to meet Mr Wheeler's mother.
'We are happy to help in any way we can.'
