New flood warning from Environment Agency

RENEWED flood warnings were put in place following heavy rainfall at the weekend.

The Environment Agency warned that the River Meon from Frogmore to Titchfield Haven was in danger of flooding but water levels were expected to peak late afternoon yesterday, with low-lying roads near the river being affected.

An ongoing alert warning of groundwater flooding remains in place for Finchdean, Dean Lane End, Idsworth and Rowlands Castle.

For more information call Floodline on 0845 9881188.
