Obstacle course is fitting tribute to popular motorcyclist

Motorcyclists from across the area will come together in tribute to a well-known biker who died from cancer.

Scores of motorcyclists will come together for a trial, an obstacle course that tests the skill of the rider.

It will be held in tribute to Adrian Brown - whose nickname was Adder - who died last month after a two-and-a-half year battle with cancer.

As reported in The News, nearly 300 people turned out to his funeral at Chichester Crematorium.

As a fitting tribute to his life, members of Bognor Regis Motorcycle Club escorted him on his final journey.

Mr Brown, 50, from Midhurst, worked as a bricklayer, but his passion in life was motorcycling.

Members of the club have already raised around 800 for Macmillan Cancer Support after a collection was held among club members.

The trial this summer, which is hoped to be staged at Cowdray Park, near Midhurst, West Sussex. hopes to raise many hundreds more.

Tony Martin, from Chichester, who is chairman of Bognor Regis Motorcycle Club, said: 'He was a great character. There must have been 300 people at his funeral. He was just a heck of a nice guy.'

Mr Brown, described as 'larger-than-life', had been a member of Bognor Regis Motorcycle Club since 2001 after returning from Canada.
