Overturned car causes M27 hold-ups
AN overturned car at the entrance to Fareham from the M27 caused delays to early morning traffic today.
The accident, which happened just before 6.45am, saw a Renault Clio overturn after hitting a crash barrier at the top of the slip road at junction 11 of the motorway, where it meets with the A27.
The car driver suffered minor injuries.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene, and clearance work began before 7am.
But delays hit traffic as far back as Portsmouth.
Police were investigating the cause of the accident.
Drivers at the scene reported delays of 15 to 20 minutes as traffic began to build up.
