Police probe attacks on family’s Southsea home

POLICE have stepped up patrols following a spate of criminal damage targeting a family in a residential street

Eggs were thrown at the same property in Salisbury Road in Southsea a number of times last week.

The most serious incident happened some time between 10pm on Saturday and 1am on Sunday, when lilac-coloured paint was thrown over a car, causing a lot of damage.

A group of between five and 10 white youths were seen in the area around the time that some of the incidents took place.

Now police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward to help them find those responsible.

PC Daniel Neligan said: ‘Fortunately this type of incident is becoming increasingly less common, however this series of criminal damage has left the victims concerned.

‘We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any of the incidents, or found a discarded container of lilac-coloured paint.’

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Thomas Wrenn or PC Daniel Neligan on 101.

Alternatively call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
