Portsmouth man admits drug charges

A MAN who admitted three counts of possessing illegal drugs has been put under supervision.

Matthew Moore, from Austin Court, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to a charge of having class B cannabis on him in Ludlow Road, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth.

The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to separate charges of being in possession of class A cocaine and ecstasy at Portsmouth Central police station in Winston Churchill Avenue. Moore was put under supervision for a year by Portsmouth magistrates. He was told to take part in a Thinking Skills Programme for 45 hours.

Moore must undertake six sessions to address his alcohol problem. Magistrates made an order for the drugs to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. No order for costs was made.
