A MAN found guilty of trafficking four Polish men in to the UK has been jailed for six years, two months.
Dawid Siwak, 30, offered the men work and accommodation but then took control of their bank accounts and took almost all their money once they arrived.
At Portsmouth Crown Court today, judge Roger Hetherington said Siwak of Nelson Road , Southsea, was guilty of ‘systematic bullying’.
The court heard that although the men carried out legitimate work, they were left virtually destitute by Siwak who used threats of violence and actual violence to control the men.
he has already served nine months on remand.
He was found guilty last month of four counts of human trafficking and four counts of keeping a person in servitude.
