Prize-winning garden is ready to welcome you

Gardeners will have the chance to see an unusual prize-winning garden in Portsmouth later this month.

Every year NGS (National Garden Scheme) gardens across England and Wales welcome more than half a million visitors.

The garden at 60 Lealand Road, Drayton, will be open from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday, June 21.

There will be exotic plants from around the world, including palms, echiums, yuccas and corderlines.

There will also be cacti in a greenhouse as well as ponds and rockeries.

Tea and cakes will be served and entry is 2 for adults while children get in free.

All takings go to charities including Macmillan nurses and hospices.

Most of the 3,600 gardens in the NGS are privately owned.
