Robbers target 11-year-old Portsmouth boy

AN 11-year-old boy was robbed of his mobile phone by two teenagers.

The victim was approached at the junction of Lower Wingfield Street and North Street in Buckland, Portsmouth.

The boys told him they had a knife and demanded he hand over his Samsung phone. He did, and the pair fled towards Lake Road at 5.30pm on Wednesday.

Detective Constable Gemma Tullett said: ‘I’d appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the offenders to come forward.’

One of the teenagers wore a black hooded top with the hood up and blue or brown jeans. The other is aged between 16 and 18, about 4ft 10in tall and of a medium build. He wore a black hooded top with the hood up and a blue snood with white ying and yang symbols on covering the bottom half of his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det Con Tullett at Fratton station on 101.
