CANOE Lake, in Southsea, has over-flowed due to last night’s bad weather.
Water levels have risen and the surrounding pavements are flooded.
Access to the lake is limited and Portsmouth City Council are looking into the problems.
David Evans, seafront manager, said: ‘The rock gardens and Canoe Lake have flooded due to the bad weather and Colas are pumping out the gullies. ‘In accordance with our emergency planning procedures we’re monitoring the situation at the seafront throughout the day, as high tide is 3.29pm this afternoon.’
