RESIDENTS are being given assurances about problems being caused by regeneration works in Portsmouth.
Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), which owns the former PD Fuels site, in Tipner, says it is tackling smells being created by soil decontamination.
The Tamdown Group is doing the work as part of the £130m redevelopment of east Tipner.
Hugh James solicitors has sent residents letters appealing for them to take legal action.
A HCA spokesman said: ‘We fully acknowledge and understand the concerns of residents living near the former PD Fuels site, and want to reassure people that we are doing everything we can to address them.
‘This is a complex project, which is key to the £130m regeneration of East Tipner and involves removing many years of contamination from the site.’
