Thousands of pounds worth of solar panels were stolen from storage boxes at Newlands Solar Farm, Fareham

THOUSANDS of pounds worth of solar panels have been stolen from a solar farm in Fareham.

Police are appealing for information after 24 panels, worth £10,000, were taken from Newlands Farm, in Tanners Lane, Fareham.

They were removed from storage boxes and were waiting to be used as part of the solar scheme.

The incident took place between 4.30pm, on March 22 and 7am on March 23.

Officers are appealing for any information about the whereabouts of the panels and also for any witnesses who may seen any suspicious vehicles in the Tanners Lane area overnight between March 22 and March 23.
