Sussex Police arrest 11 men after drugs raid

ELEVEN men were arrested after police raided a pub in West Sussex.

Officers carried out warrants at The Old Barn pub in Felpham Road, Felpham, Bognor.

A 70-year-old man and a 34-year-old man, both from Bognor, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

A 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old man from Bognor were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

A 31-year-old man, a 28-year-old man, a 23-year-old man, a 51-year-old man, a 35-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, all from Bognor, were arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs.

A 23-year-old man, from Bognor, was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

The raid took place on Sunday night.

Inspector Nick Bowman, from Sussex police, said: ‘This was a significant operation involving officers from across the force in a co-ordinated effort with the licensing and intelligence teams.’
