THERE are long tailbacks on the A27 after an accident involving a motorcyclist.
Havant has been brought to a standstill following the crash at 5.20pm on the A27 westbound, between the A3M and the Eastern Road.
Paramedics are on the scene treating two people. It is believed a driver lost control of their vehicle and went into the central reservation before colliding with a motorcycle.
Traffic is now backed right up into Havant town centre.
One driver who managed to turn off into Solent Road, said: ‘It’s pandemonium. The A27 isn’t moving so people are trying to turn up into Park Road South to get back to Portsmouth by going over the hill.
‘That’s caused the town centre traffic to really back up.
People are also trying to turn back from the A27 to Broadmarsh. It’s as if people are going round in circles.’
