TV's Ben is put on the spot
TV PERSONALITY Ben Fogle kept fans entertained as he answered questions on topics from 'the green revolution' to his most embarrassing moment.
The presenter, famous for his love of animals and adventures, was at the recently-opened SCATS Countrystore in Wickham on Saturday as part of its pet and equine open day.
The former University of Portsmouth student, who was joined by his trusty labrador Inca, said: When I was a student I visited Fareham, but I never came to Wickham so this has been my first time there.
'It's been a brilliant day, the sun has shone and there has been a huge turnout. There were lots of interesting questions and it was a lot of fun.'
Dave Taylor from Cowplain was there with his daughter Jessica, who was keen to get Mr Fogle's autograph.
He said: 'We came here just to see Ben. Jessica has got learning difficulties, so she's often at home when his programmes are on in the daytime and she's mad on him.'
Other highlights included performances by Kath Hardman and her dancing dog Spice, international winner of Crufts freestyle class in 2008.
And world championship gold medal-winning horse-rider Andrew Nicholson was also on hand to meet with budding young riders, sharing his experiences of competing at international level and answering questions.
