FIREFIGHTERS were called out after a grey wheelie bin caught fire.
Gosport’s red watch crew used a hose to tackle the flames in Beryton Road, Brockhurst, at 12.30am yesterday.
Firefighters remained at the scene for half an hour while they tried to work out what happened.
Watch manager Glen Stone said: ‘We asked a household if they had put anything in the bin which would have caused it to catch fire but they were confident they hadn’t.’
