AN elderly woman is being taken to hospital following a four-car crash on a busy dual carriageway.
Police say the crash happened shortly before 10.45am today when the cars collided on the eastbound carriageway of the A27 between Bedhampton and Havant.
Further details about the woman, who was travelling in a Rover when the accident happened, and her condition have not yet been released.
She was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital on Cosham. No-one else is believed to have been hurt in the crash, which also involved a Peugeot 106, Ford Fusion and Volkswagen Polo.
The carriageway is shut and police say there are long tailbacks as they work at the scene and wait for the area to be cleared.
No arrests have been made.
