World of fun at Gosport school fair

Brockhurst Infant School in Gosport is putting a new spin on its annual summer fair on Sunday.

To celebrate the school's diversity of cultures the annual fundraiser will this year have a multi-cultural theme.

Every child at the school has painted a flag from a chosen country to adorn the school grounds on the day.

Also included will be food sampling from different cultures, a display of belly dancing, a steel band and a performance of children's dancing from different nationalities.

The entire school community is involved. One of the teachers plays in the steel band, and a parent is part of a troupe of belly dancers.

The money raised will pay for improvements to the school grounds.

Ideas of how to enhance the area around the playground and field have been coming in thick and fast from the children at the school.

The fair is on Sunday between 1pm and 4pm.
