A RACING yacht sponsored by a Fareham firm has set off again in a global race.

The PSP Logistics-sponsored Clipper 70 yacht left yesterday from Qingdao, in China, for leg six of race 10 in the Clipper Round the World Race 2013-14.

The rest of the fleet left on Sunday but had to motor-sail due to fog.

But PSP Logistics did not arrive until Saturday afternoon following several setbacks. The crew were given extra time to prepare following its retirement in race 9.1.

Frank Dixie, PSP Logistics managing director, said it was good to be back in the race.

‘The rest of the fleet may not be able to see us but they can rest assured Chris and the dedicated crew on board PSP Logistics are straining every sinew to compete and win this leg.’

Skippers and crew from across the area are involved.
