THERE were major delays on trains between Havant and Portsmouth due to a broken-down train.

They began just after midday today when a train broke
down and blocked the line near Rowlands Castle railway
station.

Trains to London Waterloo were diverted via Basingstoke and many were cancelled.

It was up and running again just before 3.30pm but trains were cancelled or diverted throughout this time.
