PORTSMOUTH’S Lord Mayor will open a summer fayre in aid of good causes tomorrow.

Councillor Frank Jonas will present the Portsmouth Alzheimer’s Society and the Portsmouth Oncology Centre with a signed Pompey football which is being used as a raffle prize. Proceeds from the event, which is being held between 11am and 3pm at the Patey Day Centre, in Cosham, are going towards both causes, which are being supported by the Lord Mayor this year. Carol Elliott, of the Alzheimer’s Society, said: ‘We are delighted to have been chosen.’
