PEOPLE can thank those who have made a difference in their lives by taking part in a campaign launched by the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth.

Cllr Cheryl Buggy has launched the Your City Says Thank You campaign seeking people to write in and nominate a friend, family member, carer, nurse of stranger who was in the right place at the right time.

She said: ‘I want to find them, and I need your help.’

Winners will be invited to the Lord Mayor’s parlour to meet the Lord Mayor and receive an official Your City Says Thank You award certificate.

The campaign will run throughout 2012.
