Lucky students to sing with superstars at school

STUDENTS from Portsmouth High School are getting ready to perform with popular group The Drifters.

On Monday, Drifters lead singer Michael Williams and keyboard player Dan Healey will be visiting the school to lead a workshop with the school’s choir.

The Drifters are offering 40 schools and colleges across the UK the opportunity to perform with them on stage as part of their 60th anniversary Diamond Dynasty World Tour.

The students will perform ‘Love Doesn’t Ask Why’ as well as joining the group on stage for the finale ‘Saturday Night At The Movies’ at the Kings Theatre in May. The best performance from all schools will win the chance to record live with The Drifters.
