A SUNDAY lunch is taking place tomorrow to raise cash for children’s cancer charity Clic Sargent.

The event, organised by Portsmouth and Southsea Rotary Club, is being held in the Waterlooville Golf Club, on Cherry Tree Avenue, Cowplain.

As well as the two-course meal, followed by coffee and mints, there will also be a raffle in aid of the charity filled with prizes donated from former presidents of the club’s Inner Wheel.

Ivy Peckham, current Inner Wheel president, said: ‘When I was a teacher I had a little girl in my class who had a brain tumour and ever since then I’ve been raising money for Clic.

‘It’s a wonderful charity, and I just want to remind people who use it that we’re all her for them.’ Tickets cost £17 and can be bought on the door. It starts at 12.30pm.
