The Fareham United Reformed Church will welcome a touch of African tradition to one of its ceremonies.

The Osiligi Maasai Warriors will visit the church, in Osborn Road on October 1.

The event has been organised to build bridges between the Christian and African communities and create stronger links between the church and the Maasai people.

It has been three years since the tribe last visited the church and provided members of the congregation an opportunity get insight into a traditional African culture.

The group from Kenya will perform authentic and exciting Maasai tribal song and dance plus the world-famous leaping.

Donations will be collected at the event to improve the tribe’s housing, churches and build a new community school.

The troupe are expect to arrive at the church at 5pm.
