A FARM worker has been charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death in Chichester.

Sussex Police has charged Gheorghe Badea, 53, of Second Avenue, Batchmere, over the killing of a 45-year-old man.

He has not yet been identified formally, but police believe the victim was Tasin Sugaip, who was visiting the UK from Romania.

His body was found at a plant nursery, in Batchmere, on Boxing Day.

His wife and 19-year-old daughter have flown from Romania to assist the police investigation and formal identification of the victim will be carried out today.

A post mortem has shown the victim died from multiple stab wounds to the chest.
