A MAN died while at Burger King at Gunwharf Quays on Saturday.

Restaurant-goers were shocked to witness a man in his 60s collapse while in the fast-food restaurant.

Staff rushed to the man’s aid but were unable to revive him. Police and paramedics were called at 12.30pm.

Hampshire Constabulary said they were called as a matter of duty because the death happened in a public place and that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

It is believed that the man had a pre-existing medical condition.

Staff at the Burger King store were unable to comment and nobody was available at the restaurant’s head office.
