A MAN has been seriously injured after falling from a block of flats

The victim was taken to hospital by air ambulance after he fell from an apartment in Carlton Court, South Parade, Southsea, at 8.25am today.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: ‘Officers are taking witness statements and conducting enquiries at the scene to confirm exactly what happened.

‘We would like to thank members of the public who have helped police with their enquiries so far.’

Eyewitnesses said the air ambulance landed on the beach, between South Parade Pier and The Pyramids Centre.

Anyone who was in the South Parade or Clarence Road area at around 8.20am this morning (Saturday) can contact police by phoning 101.
