A MAN was treated by an ambulance officer after falling off the Hot Walls in the early hours of this morning.

The man sustained a leg injury in the fall which occurred at around 1am.

A rescue team from Portsmouth Coastguard came to his aid and assisted in carrying the man up the beach where he was transferred into the care of the South Central Ambulance Service and its hazardous area response team.

A spokesman from HM Coastguard said: ‘Portsmouth Coastguard Rescue team were called out at 1.01am on Wednesday morning to reports of a fall by the Hot Walls in Old Portsmouth.

The man was found with a leg injury and the team was able to carry him up the beach where he was transferred into the care of an ambulance officer and treated.’
