A MAN needed to be cut out of his car after crashing into the central reservation on the A27.

The crash happened at about 9.40am yesterday on the carriageway between Portsmouth and Havant, just before the start of the A3(M).

The man, in his 20s, was released from the wreckage by firefighters from Cosham and Havant.

The wreckage blocked a lane, so traffic was allowed to use the hard shoulder. The man was taken to hospital but was not seriously hurt.
