A MAN died after his waders filled up with water, causing him to lose balance and to drown, an inquest heard.

John Hindle, of Botley Road, Swanwick, was in Orlando, Florida, USA when he died on April 19 last year.

The 65-year-old had been clearing plants in a lake when the accident happened.

At an inquest in Southampton on Monday, senior coroner for central Hampshire, Grahame Short, recorded a verdict of accidental death by freshwater drowning.
