PARAMEDICS have taken a man to hospital following a collision with a car.

The accident happened in Stamshaw Road, Stamshaw, at 10.45am today, just outside The Derby Tavern.

Police confirmed the man was conscious and did not suffer serious injuries. He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, to be assessed.

Traffic heading into the city centre was briefly held up but is now flowing freely.
